The Gauteng Rabbit Breeders Association (GRBA) stands for one clear purpose: to drive the rabbit breeding industry forward with authority, integrity, and measurable standards. It is not a passive body—it is an active force that defines what responsible breeding looks like, sets the benchmark for quality, and holds its members to a level that strengthens the industry as a whole.
At its core, the GRBA stands for standards over shortcuts. It exists to protect, improve and maintain the genetic integrity of rabbit breeds, to promote structured and ethical breeding practices, and to ensure that exhibition and production rabbits alike are developed with purpose, not chance. Every show, every certification, and every guideline is designed to raise the bar—not just maintain it.
The association stands equally for education and progression. It creates an environment where breeders do not remain stagnant. Whether new or experienced, members are challenged to improve—through competition, collaboration, and the open exchange of knowledge. Learning is not optional within the GRBA; it is embedded in its culture.
Above all, the GRBA stands for community with purpose. It brings together individuals who are serious about rabbits—not as a casual interest, but as a discipline. It is a space where breeders meet as equals, challenge one another, share ideas, and collectively shape the future of the industry. The Gauteng Rabbit Breeders Association does not exist simply to represent breeders—it exists to build better ones.
